Simple Mardi Gras Birthday Cake

This was a pretty simple cake.  It's a 12" round cake, covered in purple fondant, and decorated with non-edible jewels and a crown.  Although I'm sure it was a pain in the butt to remove all the jewels before eating, the cake was actually pretty cute.
