Pink Diamond Sweet 16 Cake

Click the pictures to enlarge.
The cake seen around the world!  That's what I was calling this one when I was doing it.  It has over 500 individual diamonds and pearls on it.  When a light hit it, this cake shone like crazy.

The designs were made with stencils, which I then covered with diamonds and pearls.  It took hours and hours and hours, but it was so worth it in the end.  The sides were then given a 'cushion' look, without the actually cushion effect, by putting diamonds where the 'cushion' would have been.  Confusing... I know!

The fondant on the cake goes from darker to lighter pink.  It gave it a cool look to the eye.  The cake was then topped with a bow that matched the darkest pink to tie it all together.

So, what do we think?!  Let me know in the comments below!

Neon Disco Cake

This cake features a 14", 10" and 6" cake stacked.  Each is covered with a different neon colored fondant, then decorated.  The black silhouettes were cut from black gumpaste.  The entire cake was then blown with edible sparkles to give it that 'disco ball' feel.  Makes me want to watch John Travolta in his white bell bottom pants.  :)

Fun Topsy Turvy 60th Birthday Cake

Click the picture to enlarge.
This was my first cake done for a stranger!  Ahhhhhh!  I received an e-mail from a very crazy man who is still madly in love with his 'wifey'.  He wanted to surprise her with a birthday cake while vacationing on Long Island.  He told me that his wife wasn't too happy about turning 60, so I decided to come up with a fun design, rather than an older feeling design.  The cake itself is super tiny, being that it was only for 2 people.  The cakes are an 8", 6" and 4" stacked.  Each layer was decorated differently, one with diamonds, one with zebra and one with stripes.  Roses, stars and diamonds were added to make it feel even younger.  This turned out to be one of my favorite cakes.

Oh, and you guys should check out the reviews for the Allegria hotel on TripAdvisor.com!  My customer was so happy with the cake, he even mentioned me in his hotel review!!!

For your entertainment, a picture of me with the cake!
Isn't it so cute?!

Topsy Turvy Winter Wonderland Sweet 16 Cake!

Click the picture to enlarge.
Okay, so this cake is a Topsy Turvy, Winter Wonderland, Sweet 16 Cake!  Phew, get all that?

The snowman, snowflakes, 16 and the Barbara sign were all made with gumpaste and left to sit for a day to harden.

Every tier is covered in light blue fondant, which was sprayed with a pearl shine to give it a snowy type of look.  Along the bottom of every tier is a white line of fondant to represent snow hills.  The second and fourth tier are made of styrofoam, which is how I was able to achieve the topsy turvy look.

Zebra and Hot Pink Cake

This cake was made for a first birthday.  It's made with a white fondant base, which was then decorated with black zebra strips.  The balls and bow are made with hot pink.  The '1' is completely edible, made of gumpaste then covered in edible silver glitter.

Although this is a simple cake, it turned out to be one of my favorites.  Something about zebra print always catches my eye!

Designer Logo Cake

How does that song go?
Gucci, Louis, Fendi I wear them cause I'm pretty
Yeah, that's what this cake was all about!  It featured a bunch of designer logos, from Prada, to Juicy, to Christian Louboutin!  This cake also featured a 100% edible shoe.  It was made from gumpaste, which was then painted and sparkled!  And the shoe is of course a Chrisitan Louboutin!  Too bad I can't afford the designer stuff!

Hello Kitty Cake

Calling all Hello Kitty fans!  This cake is for you.  I did this cake in two pieces, the head being one and the body another.  It's covered in white fondant, then decorated with pink fondant to decorate.  The whiskers are made up of gumpaste, as well as the eyes and nose.  I've never really liked Hello Kitty before this cake, but I've got to say, she's pretty cute!

Barbie Cake

This cake was made for a little girls birthday.  They asked for a beautiful Barbie cake, and this is what I came up with!  The doll is adorned with a ball gown type dressed, which has white accents and pearls throughout.  The entire cake is covered in sparkles and it gleamed in the light.  The cake looked so elegant!

Neon Sweet 16 Cake

Before I begin, please take no notice to the cotton balls!  Haha, I forgot to remove them before taking pictures!

This cake was for a neon themed sweet 16.  I was told to have fun with it and do whatever I felt like doing, and this is what I came up with!  In the end, I didn't like the bottom tier, but I love the top two. Every tier is covered completely in sparkles.  Even though you can't tell from the pictures, the cake sparkled from every angle.  Everything was made with fondant, except for the bow.  What do you think?!
